Foul Water
Reported in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 20:14, Tue 8 September 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2285225.
While out walking our dog I noticed a a constant wet area also the smell was that of foul water. The water was flowing out of a pipe from the wall of 101 West Town Lane, I believe water that is meant for the underground drainage system is being piped onto the pavement that is used by children and parents attending West Town Lane School. Also winter Autumn and Winter is approaching which could cause some or a number of people slipping.I tried to find the correct heading to place this under but there is not one, so pass this on to someone in Highways to investigate. I have attached photos.

I am surprised that if someone visited 101 West Town Lane that the pipe hole in the wall could not be seen, as up until yesterday foul smelling water has been flowing out of the pipe hole in the wall onto the pavement as per original photo’s. I also noticed that this area of the pavement was dry for the first time yesterday, also the grime which was also in this area has also disappeared. I will check on this for a while, as feel it is strange that this stopped upon reporting it. Regards, Colin Woodey.
