Bristol City Council Tree management failed to look after trees they planted 40 odd years ago in Fox Road and the surrounding Green spaces . This is a shame because we need trees exspecially in this particular location. Sadly lots of trees need attention and some need to come down. Some properties have cracks appearing in exterior walls and 2 boundary wall have collapsed because of the size of the trunks growing near to homes and boundary walls. This seems to be the same for back gardens Foundations and Green space around the estate.
Most residents are absolutely struggling to fix these ongoing problems. Residence want to have a manageable sustainable Green Spaces with trees but not ones that don’t stop growing . Same with the amount of weeds on BCC property . There is dangerous pavements and uneven walk ways. BCC actually say they want to work with communities to make better places to live but so far residence left for years scratching their heads and cry out for a residence meeting but no ones seems to be listening. Why is this ? Why are we all paying Council Tax. Please can all Trees and Green spaces have a short and long term plan going forward .
Thanks

There are promises to address the issue with Tree management and surveyor based at the council . The majority of all trees on the estste planted nearer 50 years ago. In BCC hand book it promise to look after all their owned trees from young. This did not ever happen . Know Estates officers want to pass the problem to residence which is totally out of order and neglectful . We hope they see sense as the trees are all well over 100! foot the roots so big collapsed damaging boundary . Visual cracks have appeared on exterior walls of some homes.’ Residence really want to work with BCC to resolve our concerns . walls
