Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
I use the Merchants Arms and regularly use the crossing to take my son to school. The speed of traffic on this corner and Hotwell Road is ridiculous. all forms of traffic speed up round the corner and it is not unusual to hear cars skidding round the corner. The pub was severely damaged a few years ago and further evidence can be seen on the kerb-stones near the pub and vets. Residents of Hotwells should not have to put up with this race track when calming measures, speed restrictions and safety barriers would help. Forget looking at computer generated traffic models and sit outside the pub one night. You will soon get a feel for how fast the traffic is!

This is a really dangerous corner, the traffic whizzes around and we need safety railings outside the Merchants Arms to protect the infrastructure which has previously been damaged - and also the customers who are keen to support our local pub.
