Road subsidance and surface breakup
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 10:29, Thu 17 September 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
Road is subsiding and carriageway starting to break up outside 192 Henbury Rd. Cars/waggons cannot avoid because of pedestrian island. Evidence of previous repair work, might be related to previous reported problem in nearby spot. During dry weather it increases vehicle noise as they encounter breaking surface. In wet weather water collects in depression and vehicle spray goes over lower part of house including windows, causing rusting of house railings and damaging paintwork. Also pavement very narrow and pedestrian cant avoid vehicle spray.
