Draining issue - bridge flooded

Reported in the Bridges/Subways category anonymously at 09:28, Thu 24 September 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The bridge was closed for maintenance (waterproofing) for the last 2 days. Whatever work was carried out did not remedy the problem but made it worse. A big section of the bridge is flooded and this is what it looks like after a little rain. This is a main route to the local large primary school. As you can see in the second picture the drain hole was installed on an elevated part of the bridge and even the drain itself is raised compared to the surface. Could you please schedule remedial works as soon as possible? Thank you

  • This needs sorting ASAP please. It gets regularly flooded. Whilst the finished job looks nice, it has been incorrectly done. I’m not sure what the workmen were thinking. The drains are clearly above the finished surface.
