Lack of markings indicating cyclist contraflow

Reported in the Road Signage category anonymously at 15:23, Thursday 24 September 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Victoria Avenue is being resurfaced.

While the road is one-way for cars, cyclists are allowed to go in both directions - although there is only signage to indicate this at the West entrance to the road. It looks like there used to road markings to the effect but they were worn a long time ago.

This has caused conflict on a number of occasions when cars assume Eastbound cyclists are "breaking the rules".

Please use this opportunity to replace or put in place markings and signage to alert motorists to the presence of the cycle contraflow.
