This drain is now worse. When I first reported it,the water would drain down in about 2-3 hours. Now it takes 6-8 hours. And from yesterdays rain it has not completely drained away today.(thursday 29th).Yesterday the water covered about half of the width of the foot path for 10-15 feet. This made it impossible for pedestrians to cross over the road directly at that point. At the very highest point for a while, the very large puddle flowed over the road to the drain opposite. We have lived in our house for 55 years and this drain has always blocked after about 6 weeks after it is cleared. It clearly is not working properly.Perhaps fitting a double drain at this point might work.
