Loose and displaced sets over area of several square metres with some particularly bad
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 12:10, Wed 7 October 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2329920.
The area has been rough for years but is gradually getting worse. There's now a couple of sets that are so displaced pedestrians and cycles are at risk of injury - I saw a pedestrian stumble on one this week, but fortunately he regained his balance.

Progress has stalled - the area was marked in white paint, a couple of guys came and did some cursory work round the edges (not very good, and in one patch have now created a cemented bump). At that point the "closed" notification appeared here. Then someone marked out the real problem area more professionally in yellow paint, but with all the rain last week those markings are already quite faded.

The council have, in the least week, contacted me to say that as it needs more than a quick fix the work has been added to their planned maintenance schedule. I think it'll need a road closure which they couldn't do currently due to a closure 50 yards away for unrelated building work. I'm impressed by how proactive the council have been in keeping me posted.

Not fixed yet, but good comms from the council and I can see it can't be done until a temporary road closure - 3 months so far - further down the street is over.

Nothing has been done yet. A couple of months back signs went up advising of partial road closure but on due date they were removed without any work being done. It’s beginning to make my earlier positivity look perhaps a bit naive. Hey ho.

The sets continue to deteriorate and there's no sign of any action. A week ago I tripped on one of the many less obvious defects (my own fault really, I know what it's like and should have been more careful) and now have a very bruised knee. Would be nice to see some progress.

As this issue is not urgent we'll deal with it as part of a future planned work scheme in this area.
