Damaged road sign leaning across busy cycle path
Reported via desktop in the Road Signage category anonymously at 22:51, Tue 10 November 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2381463.
I reported this damaged sign post, apparently hit by a car, back in mid-October. Following my persistent enquiries, BCC finally responded, wrapped red and white sticky tape around the pole and closed my notification. I do not feel the Council has adequately dealt with this problem as the pole is sticking out across a busy cycle route and could potentially cause an accident, especially as the evenings are getting darker. This matter is certainly not closed and I will continue to make enquires until the sign post is returned to an upright position. I don’t imagine BCC would leave the post like this for almost a month if it were sticking out across a road rather than a shared cycle and footpath.
