Pothole

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 16:12, Wed 11 November 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Just had email to say: We've investigated this issue and don't think any further action is needed at this time. If a cyclist hits the exposed edge of the telecom metal cover it will easily cause them to skid, crash or damage wheel or worse. There is an exposed edge! This is a serious problem & there will be an accident at some point. At the moment filling the hole would help.

  • It's in a really bad and dangerous way now, so something needs to be done urgently as I know of cyclists who have come off while riding there as it is right in the Bus Lane.

  • The white marking around the whole is practically invisible to cyclists when they are approaching the hole. Why don't you make the markings bigger and clearer?
