Damaged Pavement Outside 113 Redland Road, Bristol
Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 23:11, Tue 17 November 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 hour, 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2393055.
At 22:03 on 15/11 my daughter messaged me to advise that she had just fallen over whilst walking home along Redland Road. She messaged me at 22:15 to advise that she was home. Yesterday at 08:11 she called me to take her to hospital as she could not drive. Her right ankle was badly swollen (photo provided). She had not slept due to the pain and she struggled to put weight on it. An x-ray was taken at the South Bristol Community Hospital. It is fractured. At 12:05 yesterday she showed me where she had fallen, outside 113 Redland Road the first teee up from bus stop 1102 0701. I took two photographs (provided) evidencing the appalling state of the pavement.

The condition of the pavement has become worse. Using a mobility scooter I found myself tipped right over as a result of the raised paving slabs caused by the tree roots. This is also a problem outside 121 Redland Road. The tree roots on this part of the road are in a very dangerous state.
