The manhole cover opposite Haverstock Road on the Wells Road northbound is clacking loudly and can be seen rocking even when cars drive over it. It wont be long til it cracks and creates a hole in the road then someone will either drive into it and damage their car or heaven forbid a cyclist falls into it and then falls under a bus! I believe this was reported in June which is 5 months ago !!!!!!!!!

As predicted the manhole covers are now so loose as to "jump" out of the hole whenever any sized vehicle passes. It won't be long til it jumps out completely leaving a gaping hole for someone's wheel to break in. The noise is now disturbing every resident within about 200 meters.

1am, 2am, 3am, 4am.... this noise has become totally unbearable. Bristol Council - this has been going on for far too long. This is completely unacceptable for the poor residents nearby trying to sleep. It is so dangerous now too, especially for bikes and cyclists. I can't believe this was reported in May/June and has still not been tackled.

A barrier has been put up around the hole now so someone is looking at it. At least the noise has been stopped as has the traffic!
