Massive pothol and drainage issue on new road not on map
Reported via desktop in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 18:46, Mon 7 December 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2421830.
The map is not up todate. New Hawkins Street has been built. I would like to know what the status and plan for this road is. Is it unadopted? Is it BCC controlled, paid for by council tax? I was not able to move in straight away due to covid but I now part own a shared ownership flat in the new block of flats Castle Court South. There is also the North block. Neither are on the map. There is space in between which I believe has planning permission for 6 townhouses at some point. There are warehouses next door being torn down. The carpark opposite, part of Gardiner Haskins (which is being transformed) is used for movie crews. The housing association Soverign Living cannot help us in finding out this information. Whos responsibility is this? Who needs to work on this problem? The builders I believe were Midas. The road is short, linking Unity street to Jacob street. Residents parking is a massive problem in this area! Movie crews and warehouse demolition for planned flats does not help. In the future there will be issues. The cycle path is being changed, which might include the road setup. At the junction of New Hawkins street and Unity street there is a large pothole like the road was not finished. There also seems to be an extra drain added and loose gravel. This is a new road/building/area and its nearly a year since it has been finished. I would like to know if anything is being done about this and who is going to fix this as part of this is on unity street as well. Please advise urgently. I dont know if this is something any of the local residents need to be aware of and need to worry about. When it rains there is a massive constant puddle which doesnt seem to drain. The work can wait but I would like to know whos responsibility is what asap. Thanks
