Water flooding out from manhole cover in main carriageway
Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 08:13, Mon 28 December 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
During and after periods of heavy rain, water pours out from around the manhole cover situated in the main carriageway outside No.82. This water then lays at a considerable depth and distance in the gutter each side of the blocked drain. As vehicles pass over it there is a loud “clunking” sound, indicating that the pressure of the water from below is lifting the cover therefore putting vehicles at risk of dislodging the cover.
