All the drains on Monmouth Road are blocked

Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category by Adrian Davis at 13:58, Mon 18 January 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2485752.

The drain is blocked as are all of them on Monmouth Road. This creates an increased risk of flooding for the properties at the bottom of the road on Falmouth Road. This is really a resilience issue and asset managing to reduce risk of properties flooding.

  • I live at 20 Falmouth Road on the corner of Falmouth/Monmouth Rd. On the Monmouth Rd side of my house the drain is completely blocked- this has been the case for 2-3 years and something needs to be done about it.

  • Please can you arrange to clear the drains in Monmouth Road which have been blocked for many years. I am concerned that our neighbours in Falmouth Road will become flooded due to the blockages. Thanking you in anticipation!

  • This problem needs action. We need a lorry with a suction unit to empty these drain from years of detritus. This should be part of asset management and resilience planning.
