Land taken from public footpath
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 15:03, Tue 26 January 2021
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2502760.
Building work in back garden of house in Goldney Avenue looks to have encroached onto public footpath. Goldney Steps footpath is already narrow; the excavations for a new building on private land have taken chunks out of the tarmaced path. Moreover the new building may extend beyond the privately owned property and onto the public footpath. Aco drain may also have been positioned to drain directly on to the public footpath, which will be dangerous in winter as it's a steep slope there.

Site visit today and photos taken. The damage to path surface is caused by on-going building works to construct a patio and wall in the adjoining garden. As this is adopted highway, the homeowner will be contacted to ensure the damaged surface is made good.
