Bins permanently left on the highway

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction category anonymously at 10:44, Tuesday 9 February 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

This issue has been reported direct to BCC by local residents but the problem remains outstanding.

Black waste and recycling bins are permanently left on the road at the junction of Lamb Hill/Old Lamb Close by residents further up Lamb Hill. This has resulted in the following.

Environmental issues with rats and vermin.

Increase in rubbish and drugs paraphernalia dumped around the bins.

Bin smell on neighbouring properties.

In high winds the bins fall over and are blown around Lamb Hill/Old Lamb Close distributing rubbish everywhere and causing hazards to road users.

With insufficient street lighting it is particularly dangerous at night.

In addition further up Lamb Hill green and yellow bins plus rubbish has been dumped for over a year and needs to be removed.

BCC please can you arrange for this to be resolved as a matter of urgency.
