Clanking utility covers
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 05:56, Thu 11 February 2021
Sent to Bristol City Council 35 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2539129.
This is the third time that I have contacted the council via this platform that I can remember. Obviously annoying my neighbours as it’s need “repaired “ yet again without my contact. One week later the covers are noisier than before the so called repair, BCC are either too cash strapped to pay for a proper repair or are being taken for mugs by their chosen contractors. Please could someone effect a repair/ replacement of theses utility covers so myself and my neighbours can get some sleep as this has been ongoing for over a year, surely the botched repairs are not value for money?

It’s no surprise the problem never gets sorted properly as the council don’t even know when their contractor has been to the site in question! The utility covers had there usual visit,a quick dig around the exterior and a few buckets of tarmac later and jobs a good un.Clanking gone for now just the thud ,thud of tyres as they traverse the uneven surface. All that pounding and the tarmac will be broken and displaced within a couple of weeks and we’ll be back to square one.
