Recycling bin lid left on the footpath.

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
I was walking my dog and our route coming along Forest Road walking in the direction of Idstone road on the left hand side pavement. Outside 21, Forest Road it was approx 16.45 and the light was going. As I walked I stood on a recycling bin lid that I couldn’t see clearly. My legs immediately slipped out underneath me and I fell very heavily onto my back. There was a car coming towards me and I don’t know how she managed to stop in time. I am recovering from chemo and I am on blood thinners so I have extensive bruising and severe pain from this fall.
This would not have happened If the bin lid was not left on the pavement. Either by the recycling staff or the homeowner. It is a trip hazard and I am very lucky that me or my dog did not sustain significantly worse injuries.
