Scaffolding blocking entire pavement

Reported via desktop anonymously at 13:02, Tuesday 16 February 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

There is a large section of scaffolding/building work taking up the entire pavement.

There is no alternative route for pedestrians to walk and this section of road is too busy to cross without the aid traffic lights / crossing point.

As you approach the scaffolding there is a handwritten sign saying that the pavement is closed and advising people to not walk into the road to avoid the works. I'm not sure what the alternative is without having to double back to the crossing lights at Vauxhall Bridge.
