Deep water at Badocks Wood after heavy rainfall

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 16:26, Tuesday 16 February 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

I visited Badocks Wood with my sons this afternoon. It rained heavily whilst we were there and my six year old son fell into the river whilst playing. Normally the water level would only be a foot or so high but it was nearly his head height (4ft) due to slow drainage and he was briefly submerged. He is fine and a passer by helped but please could signs be put up saying ‘deep water after rainfall’ or similar because there are lots of young children playing there and it could be very dangerous. Many thanks.
