Lane marking for exits 2,3,4 dangerously faded and wrong at Eastville Interchange

Reported via desktop in the Road Signage category anonymously at 19:16, Sun 21 February 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

If I drive away from Ikea and arrive at the Eastville Interchange, Exit 2 ahead of me is Muller Road eastbound, exit 3 is Stapleton Road southbound, exit 4 is M32 southbound. And if you gyrate under the M32 again, then exit 5 is to go back to Ikea (and exit 6 is exit 1 again.) Something is dangerously unclear about the lane markings on the roundabout to choose between 2, 3, 4, 5. Once on the roundabout in the first section going towards the M32 the lane marking is adequate. But passing under and away from the overhead M32 the lane markings are at the minimum dangerously faded and illegible. Further, in my view, they are just inadequate, and dangerously lack helpfulness. I'm not sure why this. Maybe, because once under the M32 there is so little time to choose the correct lane ; because Muller Road gets too many roundabout lanes vs M32 south/Stapleton Road/exit 5 combined; because M32 vs Stapleton Rd not being separated soon enough; because of need for signage to pre-warn the lane markings; because dedicated filtering to exits 3/4/5 doesn't happen early enough; the signs assume too much local knowledge; or other things. Maybe you just needs lights. This is a very long-standing issue. At the minimum, the markings need re-painting. Later the same day I drove the whole ring road and the markings on all the roundabouts there are very clear in comparison. But I further invite that you would please examine the whole signage to look for any way to improve it. It is surely not adequate or safe.
