Road severely broken up

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 14:53, Thursday 25 February 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The road is broken up across the whole carriageway on Silbury Road in the part of the road between Silbury Road and Avebury Avenue as you enter from Ashton Drive and is becoming dangerous to drive upon. The road surface has broken up in several places and the holes are now proving hazardous for traffic to travel along.

This has been an issue for the last two years whilst the Ashton Rise development has meant a large volume of heavy goods traffic along Silbury Road. This has been temporarily repaired a number of times with tarmac which has proved ineffective and quickly breaks up. This is not an effective solution and the road surface in the last two months has deteriorated severely.

Please can I request a permanent repair which will offer a lasting solution.
