Upper Belmont Road BS7 sign damaged

The street name sign at the western end of Upper Belmont Road has a lot of chipped off paint and the "BS" in the bottom right is entirely missing. If you will not fix this sign, please let me know why, rather than closing the request without offering your reasoning. And if that is the case I would like to be granted permission to fix it. Thank you
