Ongoing building works have closed cycle path with no adequate diversion

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
For several weeks (projected to continue for several months), building work by BoKlok has closed the cycle path. Initially there was no warning or diversion whatsoever. There is now a single sign at the traffic lights on airport road indicating that the diversion is along the closed path.
At the very least, the building company must provide a fully signposted diversion, adequate for both cyclists and pedestrians, and bearing in mind that airport road is precisely the sort of busy thoroughfare that is highly unsafe for cyclists.
