Road Surface is Breaking Up

The road surface on Redcatch Rd and St Agnes Avenue is breaking up. Gravel is loose. Numerous potholes are appearing. The surface is a skid hazard.

Have received an email from the Council stating that repairs will be undertaken in late April or Early May. Nothing so far.

Your enquiry was passed to an inspector, please see below his comments.
‘We have had an extensive meeting with the contractors who did the work last year and they are coming back in April/May time to do some remedial repair work on the affected areas’

Small strip of tarmac and chippings laid today. Unannounced to residents. Hasn't addressed the issue and road camber even greater now.

Camber is now too great to use access lanes without "grounding" our cars. BCC are leaving themselves open to insurance claims. Drain and access covers are now sited in even deeper potholes. Cyclists beware!
