Cul de Sac sign is not visible enough and is in the wrong place.

Reported via desktop in the Road Signage category anonymously at 11:56, Mon 15 March 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

I have reported this before. We get daily visits by lorries which have not seen the dead end sign so they have to reverse back often touching residents cars en route. The sign is too small and in the wrong place. Jane Duncan 25 Southernhay Ave, Cliftonwood.

  • A car has become so stuck at the end of Southernhay Avenue that it has been abandoned over night, blocking the exit from our gate. Better signage of the dead end and white markings on the road are sorely needed.

  • Signage for this road is inadequate, badly located and not clear enough to warn motorists of the restricted road layout. revised signage is required.

  • The white line at the junction U-turn between Southernhay Ave and Cliftonwood Cres needs repainting as this is exacerbating the situation. The road looks as if it continues straight on, the cul de sac sign is not efficient ( barely visible) and consequently people drive down thinking they can get to the Hotwell Road. Numerous times I have had to assist drivers, sometimes even driving their car out of the mess as they are so stressed.
