Brambles not cut back

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
I live at 45 leaholme gardens, the back of my property there is a grass verge up to a public footpath. This grass verge rarely gets cut and not properly up to the back of my garden fence meaning brambles are now growing. This has now grown into my garden.
I would like to know if there is a possibility of gaining this land and it then be an extension of my garden and how i go about this. I have to maintain it anyway as its not cut properly which i have been doing now for 5 years and if i gained and owned it i could fence up to the public footpath and maintain the land.
Please let me know who i can speak to about this and any emails or telephone numbers i can contact
