Badly damaged seat in Greville Smyth Park

Reported via desktop in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 18:54, Sun 28 March 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

I don't know how long the seat has been in this hazardous state, but would guess several weeks. It needs urgent attention. The seat is located on the southern pathway running through the park parallel to Ashton Road, about 50m east of a disused toilets building on Ashton Road. GPS location 51.44129, -2.62139

  • 16 December 2021. I noticed a patch of black paint, possibly spray paint , and not dry, has been applied by some person unknown to the back rest of the bench at the right-hand end as you face it. The paint is in a position that would seriously mark or damage the clothing of anyone sitting on the bench and leaning back.against the rest.
