Dangerously Damaged pavement

Reported via mobile in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 08:36, Wed 14 April 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

There are several deep ruts on the pavement outside number 50 marmion crescent caused by a lorry delivering garden material to number 50. It is a dropped pavement and is very dangerous. My wife nearly came off her mobility scooter yesterday 13th April. This is the third time in a year that the pavement has been damaged by lorries making deliveries. I don't think that EMT who are your preferred contractors do a very good job. At the end of July last year my wife was thrown off her scooter and she fractured her elbow. We have an ongoing claim against BCC.( you are denying responsibility for the slow repair) Please can you make this repair a priority as my wife uses that route to go everywhere every day.

  • This damaged pavement caused by a lorry delivering material to number 50 in need of urgent repair my wife who uses a mobility scooter has to go onto the road to get past as does mother's with their children's pushchair. Last July the pavement was damaged again by lorries delivering building material to number 52 and she came off her scooter fracturing her elbow whilst driving over the damage I would hate for her to have another injury because of the lack of urgency repairing the damage.
