At the beginning of April BCC Tree contractor pollarded several trees in Trelawney road, When they left they failed to sweep up and remove the large amount of small branches and debris from the chipper. They have never returned and consequently these debris have now accumulated and either gone into the gulley pots are are blocking the flow of rain water down the kerb side into the gullies. This blocks the gullies and when heavy rains come the street floods. Is it too much to ask your contractors to do a thorough and professional job and clear up after themselves?
I noticed a street sweeper vehicle a couple of weeks ago but with 95% of the street occupied with parked vehicles surprisingly it couldn’t clear up the debris which by now is all in the gutters! Another case of BCC wasting time and money and shutting the door after the horse etc... Wouldn’t it just be easier to get your contractors to clean up after themselves at the time? And perhaps inspect that the work has been done properly before PAYING them? Just a thought!
