Temporary barriers causing obstruction in road

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 16:54, Tuesday 20 April 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Previously reported (ref. 1953916) but closed without comment or solution after approx. one year. There continue to be a string of red and white temporary traffic barriers several car lengths long down a painted parking bay. They serve no apparent purpose and are regularly hit by traffic which concertinas them and pushes them out into the road forcing traffic to go wide into the opposite lane and sometimes creating a bottleneck. This is a 'temporary' measure which has now been in place for several years. Please can we have a permanent solution or at least an explanation of why this obstruction is still in place.
