Flooding again
Reported via mobile in the Flooding category by Wayne Holmes at 21:25, Mon 3 May 2021
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2704651.
A secondary drain was installed next to the existing one outside my property to stop the flooding issues but the drains up the road have still never been cleared. So all of the rain water from past the pied horse and up the road simply runs all the way down to my house flooding my property still. The drains need CLEARING. As I have said for the last 5 years. Please inform me of what actions will be taken. I had to run out into the street tonight and fight the deluge of water coming down the road to protect my property again. The photo supplied of the overflowing drain is outside the pied horse pub. That photo was taken when they fitted the new drain by my house and no attempt was made to clear it. They must have seen it at the time.

Who ever looks into the flooding issues needs to come to this street when it’s raining to see exactly what is happening. I would really like to meet with the council and walk the street and show them in person. The storm drains have not been cleared properly still causing my property to flood.

Still get flooded. I would really appreciate some contact with a highways representative from the council to meet me (covid secure) so I could show them exactly what happens. Someone turning up after the water has subsided won’t understand the problem unless they drive here when we are in the middle of a down pour or prolonged rain.

Not fixed yet. As the drains outside the pied horse and across the road are still blocked solid so the water is still coming across the road and flowing down to the only unblocked drain outside my house then when we get a downpour that drain simply can’t cope with the amount of water and just flows over the top of it.
