Cars parking on pavements

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 09:21, Tue 11 May 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

I have a problem that i care foe a elderly person in a wheelchair every time i go shopping or hospital - doctors appointments i am having to walk on the road with a wheelchair due to cars parked half way over the pavement making it impossible to pass and so putting walking people at risk of oncoming traffic are the pavements not intended for people who walk or has everybody forgotten that not everybody drives a car.

Updates

  • Pavement parking actually illegal. It is illegal to drive onto a pavement, and it is also illegal to cause a dangerous obstruction to pedestrians. I urge you to report this parking to the police, on 101, option 5, op 2, op 1. Give them description of vehicles (make, model, reg, duration, etc), make sure when speaking to the call handler you tell them (quote) “causing a dangerous obstruction to pedestrians”.

    Good luck
