The are a number of issues concerning the pavement, cycle lane and road and traffic signals all outside the building works on Nelson St. HSE redirected me to you. The site opens it gates into oncoming cycles in cycle lane without checking, they only check for one way traffic from north bound direction. No traffic signals facing cyclists so cycles do not know that a green Man is showing for pedestrians at temporary lights and could potentially carry on along lane into pedestrians. Site traffic parks fully across pavement and cycle lane almost daily, awaiting entry to site. There is no provision made with signage or alternative passage for cycles or pedestrians. As the large articulated trucks arrive daily it seems that safe provision should be made as otherwise pedestrians and cycles must find their own way on the road into oncoming traffic, this road is two way for cycles and one way for traffic so once the cycle lane is blocked cycles only have the option of going against the oncoming flow of one way traffic. Please note HSE said it I not their concern as this issue is highway related and caused by construction site.
