Roundabout road marking missing

Reported via mobile in the Road Signage category anonymously at 08:41, Friday 11 June 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The road markings for the mini roundabout are completely missing at the junction of Station Road and Henbury Road. I have witnessed a number of near misses at this junction where cars approaching from the Crow Lane end of Henbury Road heading towards Blaise Castle have failed to stop at the roundabout junction. Cars turning right from Station Road have priority here, but without the round white roundabout sign and the broken white lines on the road, newcomers to the area presume they are on the main carriageway and drive straight across the junction, some also ignoring that it’s a 20mph zone! It’s very dangerous and has been like it for some considerable time.

  • There are no broken white line or circular mini roundabout road markings on approaching the junction with Station Road heading from Crow Lane towards Blaise Castle. The broken white lines at the Station Road junction are very worn and hardly visible. This is a busy junction and is now very dangerous. Road markings are essential and need to be reinstated ASAP.

  • Road markings still very dangerous outside the Henbury Lodge Hotel. Been like it for weeks when is something going to be done? I had a near miss this morning with people speeding up Henbury Rd and not realising that the road markings have disappeared even though there is a roundabout sign there and fail to give in to their right .
