Parked cars in conflict with pedestrian crossing

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category by Pete Badger at 14:49, Mon 14 June 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

A temporary pedestrian crossing has been put in place, but parking has not been suspended/removed, so the crossing is blocked. There is also no ramp on the north side of Unity Street, for people who require level access to cross the street.

  • I believe this is ok now but the lack of parking for residents in this area needs to be investigated. It is used by pedesterians regularly as well as bikes but there are many cars breaking the speed limit. It is also dirty with weeds growing through new pavement (that has been reported). There is so much building work going on creating new housing and no parking. Building work and road fixing is a continuous issue in terms of noise and restricting parking. This also includes the film crews in this area. ALSO there is a Yobike here that needs to be collected. They have not responded when I have raised this but there contact details are limited and I believe they have shut up shop. There are a few more around the city still. Please advise, provide any information you can, and pass this on as needed to relevant teams. Thanks
