Greystoke Gardens street sign removed

Reported via mobile in the Road Signage category anonymously at 10:09, Fri 25 June 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The Street sign for Greystoke Gardens at the junction where Greystoke Gardens meets Greystoke Ave has been removed and replaced with an upgraded sign for Aust Lane, which gives the impression for delivery drivers that Greystoke Gardens is Aust Lane. The road signage at this junction needs to be made clearer stating it is Greystoke Gardens BS10, with directional signage to Elmefield Road & Aust Lane BS9. Can this error be rectified as soon as possible please.

  • When will the sign at the entrance to Greystoke Gardens be replaced as it currently states Aust Lane, I am currently being woken during the day for deliveries for wrong road, you have known of this issue since June and have done nothing at all to rectify the problem. Lazy and inept to say the least.

  • Why has this issue not been rectified, it has gone on long enough, even yesterday I had someone knocking on my door for the wrong address, that is 8 days on the bounce now, how difficult is it to change a street sign that is so obviously wrong.

  • This is also causing me issues - a different resident of Greystoke Gardens. It’s really confusing for delivery drivers and visitors who aren’t familiar with the area. Can’t believe this has been ongoing since June! Needs sorting ASAP!!

  • Still waiting for new Street Sign , almost 8 month’s now. I find it amazing that Colston Road , Bristol , has been renamed and a new sign Colston four Road , installed in a few weeks .We are forgotten this side of Bristol, our Mayor is just concerned with the woke parts . Not us true Bristolians .

  • Health care providers turned up at my house yesterday with the wrong address. Really hope the person that was waiting for the nurses was ok and wasn’t harmed by their late arrival due to the confusion with the street signage. Seems the council have no interest in fixing the ongoing signage issue.

  • Where do I start ! Contractor’s turned up yesterday , moved Sign For Elmfield Road around the corner .We needed an additional sign ! Elmfield Road is in two parts .The old Greystoke Gardens sign has been moved further up the Road ,one is needed at the Road entrance also. The entrance to Greystoke Gardens still says Aust Lane ! Why Why take away perfectly good signs !!! The signs should say Greystoke Gardens ,leading to Elmfield Road and Aust lane .This is not rocket science !!!!
