Road side drain outside numbers 16 and 18 blocked
Reported via desktop in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 15:02, Wed 7 July 2021
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2847657.
Every time there is a lot of rain the drain causes a very large puddle that goes across the road and is several inches deep. This has been blocked for some time

More rain today and again the blocked drain is causing a very large puddle. It feels this will keep happening every time it rains.

Please can this be fixed before Autumn? Still happening when it rains, forcing people to walk in the road. I understand the water level also rises close to a BT/Openreach box. If that's damaged it will cause issues for multiple households, including some working from home. Almost two months since original report.

Please can you ask your contractor for an update and post it to this site? As you can see from the photos, the first rain we've had for a while and we experience the same issue. Pedestrians are forced to walk in the road and I cannot leave my house unless I wear Wellington boots (or jump!). There is a spell of wet weather forecast so we are likely to have this problem day after day.

I spoke to the Council yesterday and was assured this would be escalated with their contractors. These photos show that I cannot access my home without wading through inches of water, which has an oily film on the top, so it's dirty water. Pedestrians are unable to walk on the pavement and have to go into the road. Four months now since original report and its not acceptable.

As you can see from the last update this situation is becoming more frequent and causing problems to us,our neighbours and pedestrians and will only get worse as the winter advances. .When the frost comes and it freezes over we will not be able to get out of our drives ,
