Strret Light 5 in St Marks Road – 3 false 'Fixed' reports in six weeks

Reported via desktop in the Street Light category by Robin Beecroft at 05:38, Friday 23 July 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

To whom it may concern: Three times now (8 June, 10 July and 22 July) I have been informed – falsely – that Light 5 in St Marks Road is fixed. At no time during this period was the light fixed, and this morning, 23 July, it is still unfixed. Light 5 in St Marks Road has been unlit since early spring and the road is not safe for local residents while it is unlit.

Because this is the fourth time that I have had to make time to report this light, I feel forced now to make my local councillors and the Mayor's Office of the ineffectiveness of this process. I do this reluctantly, but I feel now that I have no choice as they have the right to know whether the community is being served.

I hope that you will take immediate steps to resolve this problem, and ask that in this case, you keep me informed directly and personally as to the steps you are taking to stop these false reports and to actually fix the problem.

I look forward to hearing from you and to the problem being resolved before any further email notifications that it has been fixed when it has not.

Yours faithfully

Robin Beecroft
