Heavy traffic vibrating houses

Reported via mobile anonymously at 10:59, Thu 29 July 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The large heavy lorries rumbling down this residential street as a rat run make the houses vibrate as the go over the uneven road surface. These are Victorian houses and it must be causing damage. This has been going on for a long time and is getting worse as traffic volume keeps increasing.

Updates

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 11:16, Thu 26 August 2021

  • Appears the road surface is to blame. It has sunk in areas which causes the trucks to bounce on the road. Also too many trucks going down a Victorian small road not designed for heavy traffic.
