Drains unable to cope with rain water
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 19:24, Mon 2 August 2021
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2909486.
Drains in Tilling Road unable to cope with rainwater flooding down Dorian Road, which had built up on the bend outside number 35 and Hospital entrance. Once again the lady in number 53 Tilling Road came close to being flooded through the house if it had not been for neighbours use of buckets and brooms. We had thought that this problem had been solved but it is now obvious that the old Prefab site, which has been completely covered buy all the new builds and tarmac, has no where for rain to sink into the ground. Unfortunately when that build was designed, no one had the foresight to update the drains to cope with the excess amount of water the site would produce. This situation has been going on at times of heavy downpours since I moved here nearly sixty years ago. I would hope and so do my neighbours that someone will get to grips with this problem, hopefully sooner rather than later.
