Contractors have broken wall

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
Yesterday some council contractors were resurfacing the footpaths on my street. When I got home I noticed that the gate post of my property had been knocked over and the stones had been knocked out and piled up in my front garden. I spoke to a worker who told me that their machine had banged into the wall and knocked the bricks out...he said if I contacted the number on the sheet they would fix it. This morning another member of the working team stated that he had been with the council. He stated that the damage was done by one of their workers banging it with his body. This contradicts the information that was given to me yesterday and does not seem likely given the extent of the damage done. The resulting overhang of the wall is unsafe. The structure has been made unsafe by the negligence of the contractors and damage done by their machinery. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information. Thank you.
