Traffic chaos/ glacially slow workmen

Reported via mobile in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 08:18, Tue 17 August 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

I wondered if you'd noticed the increased pollution caused by the glacialy slow roadworks whose 4 way traffic light system are causing huge traffic queues in all directions, particularly at rush hour. Masses of cars, all stationary, all running their engines. I have often seen just one ETM operative, sitting in a digger, doing nothing as the traffic fumes choke residents. They knock off at 4pm and don't work weekends. It is causing traffic chaos at the Ashley Road junction. I live in Bath buildings and the pollution is markedly worse as car run their engines outside my flat. I cannot believe its supposed to take a month to finish these works. ETM is dragging out the job as we choke on traffic fumes. Rang highways who didn't seem that interested and said that would pass on. Has anyone taken pollution measurements? I'm sure the spike must be illegal. Can you help?
