Poor crossing design forces cyclists into traffic

This is yet another poor crossing design... The road/crossing is built in such a way that cyclists in the bike lane have to move into the road and negotiate into moving stream of traffic at this narrow point. Sure the crossing has been built out into the road to make the distance to cross shorter for pedestrians..but it means cyclists have to move out of the cycle lane into the traffic. That seems erm... mad! And there are several others with this design up Whiteladies Road.
