Road markings

Reported via mobile in the Road Signage category anonymously at 13:27, Tuesday 7 September 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Since St Mary's Road has been resurfaced, the markings aka double yellow lines have not been reinforced. This means that cars have been parking on the corner of a busy road and bus route, making it dangerous and difficult to manoeuvre (see attached photograph). The double yellow lines previously covered the entire corner and over the first driveway (house no.6)

  • Another incident today. The orange car in the original image has parked on the corner where double yellow lines should be. This has prevented a bus from being able to travel down it's route, and resulted in the bus driver getting out of the vehicle and knocking on doors to see if the car on the corner could be moved. Also, from the image you can see another dark coloured car has undertaken the bus on the wrong side of the road to squeeze through the gap, unable to see if there is any oncoming traffic or pedestrians. These situations would not occur if the road markings were installed in the re-surfaced road
