F.A.O. Lead Local Flood Authority and Highways departments

We are looking into a proposed redevelopment of an existing car park at the above address. The proposal is for a residential development and we’re designing the proposed surface water drainage for the scheme.

Our options for disposal of surface water drainage are limited as infiltration is not feasible, there are no watercourses in the vicinity and the public sewer records do not indicate any surface water sewers.

We have noticed that Baldwin Street has many road gullies and as such there maybe a public highway drain available for us to connect to. Can you please provide a record map showing the extent of highway drainage within Baldwin Street and what information we need to provide in order to obtain an approval to discharge surface water?

Many thanks.

Kind Regards

Tim Brook Principal Engineer
