H&S Hazard: Flooding outside school main gate

Reported via desktop in the Flooding category by Katja Benyon at 19:18, Tuesday 28 September 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The main school gate of Willow Park Primary (formerly St Michael's) is not accessible, due to Upper Church Lane is severely flooded (4-6 inch deep).

This is: - a safeguarding issue for the school - it is the only school gate equipped with a camera & maglock to let staff, parents and visitors in and out - a real operational issue - a H&S hazard, if parents, staff and contractors try to access the school via the path (once the water drains away the area outside the gate will be muddy and slippery)

Causes are a blocked drain by the school gate, and recent repairs to the footpath limiting the flow of water down the hill.

The problem will persist over the winter due to the blocked drain.

Please resolve urgently!
