Blocked stormwater drain

Reported via mobile in the Gully/Drainage category by Luke Champion at 21:16, Sun 7 November 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Deep standing water due to blocked drain in subway between Cottrell Road and Stapleton Road.

This was recently reported to Highways agency ref: 22103375, and they have confirmed this is not their reposibility to resolve.

Please can the stormway subway drains be unblocked as this keeps happening in heavy rain and prevents pedestrians from using this part of the subway.

  • This is still an ongoing problem - the route is unpassable and is normally used by commuters (bike and foot), school children going to school and for general access throughout the day. Concerned this may lead to risky behaviour with pedestrians including children crossing the busy roads at undesignated points
