Deteriorated Road Surface - Re-reported

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

It is noted that previously raised cases reference 3073353 (20-Oct-21), 3016892 (21-Sep-21) & 2634796 (26-Mar-21), relating to road surface deterioration along Filton Avenue, have all been closed without action or rectification. The response simply states ‘not urgent’ and ‘will be dealt with as part of a future planned work scheme in this area’ and ‘investigated this issue and don’t think any further action is needed’. However, the reported deteriorated road surface is causing severe and intense levels of vibration, rumbling and shaking of nearby properties by passing Buses & HGVs, hence the reporting of such issues. The condition has progressively worsened over a number of years and continues to do so to such levels, so as to adversely affect quality of life of those living in the vicinity as it is also affecting/interrupting sleep. Furthermore, there is concern that such issues could compromise the structural integrity of the nearby properties. Please can the subject cases be re-opened and appropriately addressed to rectify the reported issues as they as considered urgent and therefore require immediate attention. Please note that Local Councillors will also be notified of the above reported issues.
